We had 6A/6B reserved EWR-CDG a few days ago - just days before the flight they kicked us back to seats in the middle section with nothing else available. Called and they said it was for operational reasons and there was nothing they could do. Worst thing is - monitoring the upgrade list, the last person upgraded was put in... 6B.

I take it back - worst thing was the flight was stuck on the ground for 5 hours before they ultimately cancelled it. But that's a story for a different thread. For here, the moral is... avoid 6B on this aircraft overseas.
