Could it be quicker to go through the immigration and back through normal Departures security, assuming you're not at risk of 35 min conformance?
I'm really fed up with the transfer situation at LHR T5 and I'm contemplating on not going through the transfer route at all and go through immigration, as the transfer security queues are often really poor. It's the worst routine aspect of flying on BA by far.
