- Does the Jojo Sommar card cover trips on Oresund trains into Denmark (i.e. Copenhagen airport and Copenhagen's central station)?
On the
Skanetrafiken Web site, the headline says "Jojo Sommar covers unlimited travel on buses and trains within Skåne in the period 15 June-15 August." But further down the page, it says it is valid on all Oresund trains. Which prevails -- the "within Skane", or "all Oresund trains", which would presumably include trains to Copenhagen airport and into Copenhagen?
- Can this card be purchased at red Skanetrafiken ticket machines in Copenhagen airport, or can it only be purchased in Malmo at the central station (or from some other ticket office in Sweden)?
- Will I need a separate card for Copenhagen public transport? (Presumably yes, if I ride anything besides Oresund trains...)
Thanks in advance!
Jojo summer card does not include travel across the bridge between Copenhagen and Malmo. You can use this summer card on all public trains (not SJ rail or Snalltaget) and buses in Skane on the Swedish side of the bridge.
Skanetrafiken tickets good for across the bridge travel are good for Copenhagen public transport too -- be it by bus, metro or train.
To save money on across the bridge travel, a regular jojo card should be used. I have to see if the summer card can be loaded with funds too. I doubt it can, but need to test my doubt as usual.
The Skanetrafiken machines don't sell jojo or summer jojo cards. They sell tickets using regular bank cards or jojo cards and allow for reloading jojo cards.
My regular cross bridge travels don't cost more than 170SEK roundtrip using a jojo card and the roundtrip ticket covers all public transit on both sides of the bridge as long as I am in Copenhagen or within the Malmo area. I suspect there are not weekly passes available for cross bridge travel but am not sure about that. There are certainly monthly passes that can be loaded on regular jojo cards and that is about 1900 SEK for 30 days. [Maybe you can buy a partly used one from a site like blocket.se or resell a partially unused one there?

The around the sound tickets are sold for around 250SEK and allow for 48 hours of unlimited crossings although technically those tickets "require" a ferry ride between Helsingor and Helsingborg -- I avoided enforcement of that routinely. That may mean you don't need to pay more than that for any two days of travel since it provides for unlimited Skane travel and unlimited bridge crossing and unlimited Copenhagen public transit.
Oresund trains are included in all these tickets I mentioned, but crossing of the bridge costs extra and involves buying an additional ticket if wanting to go across the bridge on Oresund trains or travel in the Copenhagen area or elsewhere in Denmark.
"Oresund train" is sort of a brand: "Oresundstag". But the summer card applicability to Oresund trains is limited to the Swedish side of the train operations and is only applicable within Skane. Cross into Blekinge, Halland, or Smålland on the Oresund train using a Summer Card and you need a separate ticket or risk being fined. Travel within or cross into or out of Denmark on the Summer Card on an Oresundstag/Oresund train and you also need a separate ticket or risk a fine.
