On Brazil-US Delta Skymiles would make sense. Then you'll have Delta and Aeromexico, means major hubs like ATL, LAX and DTW can be reached easily from GRU. And you could earn/redeem miles with GOL, which IMO is a better choice than TAM for domestic flights.
