First international trip after visiting a "naughty list" country.

Hi all,

Earlier this year I did a photography trip to Socotra, which is an island that is part of Yemen.

Upon returning to the US I experienced a pretty thorough interrogation. ("Did I visit a camp? Did I fire a gun? Have I ever fired a gun before?" etc). Every single item pulled out of my luggage, everything in my wallet inspected, empty bag x-rayed, etc. I wasn't happy about it, but I mostly expected it.

I'm about to take my first international trip since my visit to Yemen. I was curious if my visit was likely to put me on any "automatic secondary" lists upon re-entry to the US, and if I should plan my layovers accordingly. Do any of you have experience with this?

I'd also be curious to know if I ended up on any watch-lists because of that, but I suspect I will never know that answer...
