I asked USPS store and was told $500 MO costs $1.25 and above $500 MO costs $1.65. So even buy $499.30 money order WM is still cheaper.
1) Read the walmart thread
2) Just say that your swipe limit is $500. No need to go into detail about how you are using multiple cards.
3) Whatever you do, don't make a scene. If they can't figure out split payments, just eat the extra 70 cents and do 500 at a time
4) I hope you aren't going to my walmart
