On a similar note, have checked baggage allowance changed recently? Or do they differ on different OW carriers? I have a large suitcase I've used pretty much every time I've been abroad on LH in the last ten years or so. Next week I fly to DUB with BA and onwards to the US (36 hours later) with US on AA metal. Having checked the baggage allowance, it appears my bag may be classed as over size on AA and possibly on US too, although the US allowance is less clear. My bag will only be a couple of inches bigger than the allowance, I've never had any problems before but I'm getting paranoid that things have changed and I'll end up having to cough up a fortune at the airport.
