As a former Marriott Associate, and a recipient of many Friends and Family forms, I can assure your friend who is the associate, knows what they are talking about. Marriott changed the way they handle F&F forms a few years ago. They are now issued in a pdf format so you can email them, and the “friend” needs to print one out and bring it with them when they check in. You can use it more than once but it is only good for 60 days from the date of issue. So, yes, you can print it as many times as you want.... but it is only valid for 60 days from date of issue. (your name will be on it so you can’t give these to other people)
A good Marriott employee will only give these to close friends and family. They have accountability, and if there is ever a problem with a guest they can get in a LOT of trouble!
I had a horrible experience last year with a guest I had given a friends and family form to. They checked in and had two teenagers with them (their children who I knew fairly well) I gave them all the lecture that “you are guests of Marriott, you need to be on your very best behaviour” . It apparently fell on deaf ears. When they checked out there was damage to the hotel room. The teenage boy put a hole in one of the bedroom doors with his fist (I am assuming it was his fist), I won’t go into details, but it was bad. I was pissed, and the employee got in BIG trouble as did I. NEVER AGAIN! I will never give a Friends and family form to anyone ever again. Almost got fired over this, and it ruined relationships I had with about 7 people at Marriott. It still upsets me a year later.
So, if you are using a friends and family form, know that your behaviour is reflected on the employee and they can loose their job over this. You have to be on your VERY BEST behaviour. No getting in trouble, stealing towels, smoking in the room, breaking stuff, disturbing other guests, etc. etc. Marriott is very serious about this!
