You have to "ask" them for suite upgrades. The two times I was upgraded, I have asked specifically. Once I was checking in at the Club and was offered a smoking suite (which I took since I was only there for one night), the other was this March and I had contacted hotel management via email about the upgrade.
i had two stays in the last weeks.
First stay, no suite upgrade offered.
After asking for a suite, i was told i could either wait (had an really early check-in) or take a executive club room. took the room as my stay was only one night and wanted to take a shower after 15 hour trip.
Second stay, i arrive around midnight. again no suite offered.
So i ask again, she says no. I tell her want to speak to manager in charge, he looks at the computer and suddenly it is possible...ridiculous. Hotel was nearly empty...
Pool is closed until end of july, but you can use SGS.
Hotel is good value for money (always get BRG), Club Lounge is good (is open for Breakfast again). But the upgrade policy is hmm...strange...
