Hi There

If i book a business class fare and then use avios points to upgrade to first, can i change my flight without penalty as long as its on the same day to the same destination? i am looking to try and upgrade to first from business using avios points, but if a different flight on the same day to same location with BA has availability can i take it, or am i locked in to only using the actual flight i have booked?
