Even with paid stays only one MR# can be associated with the room.
One option is as stated, just bring your MR#/Card and show it during check-in. Another option is to call MR and make the award reservation in the name of the Plat member. MR can order the award for that person. If you were gifting an award to someone and not traveling yourself, this is how you would do that.
