What Tiojelly wrote directly above is still completely accurate. Other than that a few other comments:
Breakfast was really bad. The selection was bad, the staff was awful and they didn't tell you that you could order anything a la carte (nor provided an a la carte menu). Breakfast had the feel of some dumpy "five star" hotel that god knows how they got five stars.
The weekly Japanese/sushi buffet on (Fridays?) is spectacular. Try to go on a day when they have that (again, I think Friday?). Not just sushi but a whole array of Japanese food, everything fresh and delicious.
The indoor pool and jacuzzi, just off the outdoor pool and poolside restaurant, are so relaxing during bad weather. The outdoor pool of course is great when it's warm and sunny
Unless you rent a car, plan on being isolated with an expensive taxi ride to/from the airport (discounted significantly for platinum elite). If you want to play nearby golf courses or leave the resort for meals or sightseeing etc., a rental car is basically a must.
Otherwise Tiojelly wrote an accurate review that continues to be true.
