KVS: CX award availability for AA different from BA?
Please don't flame, I did search for an answer.
I used KVS to search BA for an award on CX and found availability for a flight (CX889 JFK-YVR-HKG in F). When I called AA, I was told that there wasn't availability for JFK-HKG, only for JFK-YVR and that their availability was different from what I could see on BA or QF and that they encountered this with customers all they time. The CSR was very nice about it, found me availability on JFK-HKG non-stop redeye a few hours later and took care of everything for me, but I was surprised about the statement that availability for AA would be different than what I could see using QF or BA. I thought this was only a "StarNet blocking" problem with UA.
Is the discrepancy that the flight I found was direct (JFK-YVR-HKG) instead of nonstop?
