Called to upgrade my flight home from W to J (assuming my mobile is charged and they let me on the plane period) and was quoted the usual rate of 10k avios plus a couple dollars or so in taxes BUT was then told effective March 1 I had to pay a $55 change fee even as a gold member. I upgraded the outbound without such a fee. Should I have been charged or was the latest agent wrong and I should call back ?
