If a friend books a reservation using his points, and I am staying with him: am I, as a platinum member, entitled to receive platinum benefits? Is it as simple as adding my name to the reservation? I would say yes, if your name is on the reservation along with that of your friend. The friend can do this by calling Marriott reservations, and asking that your name be added to the reservation along with your MR number.
However, I am not sure that you can have two MR #'s in the same reservation. If none of this works, just be sure to have your Plat membership card with you. At a minimum you should be able to get lounge access, if you are staying at a Ren or FS property, along with a possible upgrade.
