I can't tell you how many meals of croque monsieur and chocolate fondue I had at La Fondue. I started going there when I was in high school in the late 70s, it was a treat when we'd go to a Broadway show. Loved the place. When they closed, I was crushed - I've had plenty of croque monsieurs, many in France, and never found one as good as at La Fondue.
