Another option is FreedomPop, which has 3G/4G plans at about half the price of Verizon. They'll sell you a MiFi-like device at retail and then 2GB for $20. Here's a link to their plans. I can say from personal experience that the coverage and the customer service aren't as good as Verizon, but I've used them for over a year now and it's been fine for most everything I need.
