I put a 7-day hold on an LAX-EWR flight in August a few days ago. When I booked the reservation the seat map showed a 737-800 with an E+ section. Seatguru indicates a 37" seat pitch, though I took the exit row (21C) which might provide more.

Today I checked the reservation and seat map and it now shows a 737-800 without an E+ section. Even the exit row does not show as E+ seating. According to seatguru the only E+ on the aircraft is the exit rows with only 35" seat pitch.

Do they really fly these aircraft on the transcon LAX-EWR route? I might not purchase the ticket if this is the case.
