Yurop - what you say makes complete sense...except that I'm travelling with the family and specifically two children who I want to keep entertained. Typically the 5 star resorts have the facilities/staff to keep them occupied with kids clubs etc whereas some of your suggestions whilst great for me, won't give us that option..
uk1 - pls read the full post - I don't have a taxi limitation - I'll be using them plenty! BUT I want the option to walk around the block from the hotel and have most things that I need around me for a quick evening stroll. Does that make sense?
