Wanted to get people's input before I continue to email Global Services.

I was flying UA 5152 (Shuttle America) DFW-EWR on 6/22/14 and 6/29/14 with scheduled 6 PM departures. Both flights were booked in first.

On 6/22/14, we ended up with a 2.5 hour delay due to crew availability. The inbound crew was not delayed due to weather, but it appeared that our scheduled crew ended up on a different flight and this crew had to be flown in from Chicago. Frustratingly after the crew landed, they took 30 mins to make it the two gates and each came in with food purchased in the airport. Additionally, the flight was supposed to be catered with the PM snack boxes, but the FA informed me that they were not loaded.

On 6/29/14, the flight was completely cancelled around 3 PM again due to crew availability. Luckily United texted this to me and I was able to be rebooked on a connection into Chicago and ended up at EWR around 2.5 hours after my original scheduled flight.

I emailed GS about both of these, stressing that each flight had issues due to crew availability and this was not related to weather. Both days United had clear operations, amazingly.

The GS agent offered 8,750 miles and that the incidents would be "included in a report to senior management for review," which I find to be a bit low. Obviously for both flights I ended up only being around 2.5 hours late to Newark, but if I it were not for my status that cancelled flight could have been a pretty significant issue.

Any thoughts on following up with them or is 8,750 miles about right for a 2.5 hour delay, a cancelled flight, and missed catering?

Edit: As mentioned just upthread, I would not normally have raised the issue of a 2.5 hour delay with the 6/22/14 if it did not happen the following week with the same flight. I am having increasing issues with United Express in general and specifically Shuttle America, but that may just be me.
