If I've read this correctly, the return leg is on a Friday afternoon. Traffic in the east end can be catastrophically awful in the weekday evening rush hour - a shunt in the Blackwall tunnel can cause queues to build for miles around the area - I would much rather be on the DLR than trusting a road journey back to the airport.
