Is it that hard to come up with a different dinner option? I would be peeved if a TATL or TPAC served the same meal after takeoff and before landing, so I completely sympathize with OP's expectation to have different catering for lunch and dinner.

I wonder if the ATL-DEN flight had a sandwich cart, perhaps I would ask for a sandwich off the cart rather than eat the chicken salad again.
