My only concern would be if the new TSA scare slows down security at NRT. If so, I would expect staff to direct those with tight connections to special lines and to hold flights if necessary.
I've done 50 minute NRT connections many times with no problems, although I was always in BE (or WBC/IFC in PMNW days). I was also a top tier elite on DL/PMNW.
