Amazing video. I was re-assured at how easily it seemed to be for the incoming pilot to abort the landing, despite the high speed at which the jet was travelling.

That aside, I am surprised that Barcelona ATC and/or the outbound pilot didn't spot this. All I can assume for the outbound pilot is that he/she had flown so many flights over so many years and never seen this or really heard of it that they taxi'd out without looking. Would be very interested to know from any pilots on FT whether this is something they routinely look for if they would have missed it also
