One of the hotels listed in Paris is Hotel Bel Ami. Not a modicum of luxury in that hotel, except for a very nice breakfast. I hope this hotel is not representative of the hotels on the list. Calling Hotel Bel Ami a 4* is a stretch. We stayed there once a few years ago. The only redeeming features were the breakfast and the location.
Some of the London properties are quite good- for example I like One Aldwych and it is listed here.
