When I came through last week from Hong Kong there was a crazy line-up for people who needed to check bags, or needed boarding passes (not right after exiting customs where you can drop your bags, but upstairs, for connecting flights). If I hadn't have known this wasn't normal, I would have just got in the line, as it blocked the whole hall and there was no indication what it was for. If you have your boarding pass, and your bags had been checked all the way through, excuse yourself past this line and head to the security checkpoint.
