Since you're military, the $450 annual fee is waived, and you'll have access to the SC any time you fly DL. You'll also get an annual "companion certificate". I have the DL Reserve AmEx and have the annual fee waived for being active duty myself (I was paying $450 a year for the card for a couple years until I learned back in January that military are exempt from annual fees on Credit Cards - I called AmEx and they reimbursed all my annual fees).
