Yikes, someone will have some 'splainin to do!
How can something like this happen? Bad weather, poor visibility, or pure and good old fashioned human error? I'd imagine the unfinished runway would not have been illuminated (apart from the giant X), while the operational one would have carried all the signs for landing.
