Calling BA Executive Club when abroad
I will preface this question by confessing to being a total technophobe.
I am in Austria and BA.com has been playing up for me today so I tried calling the Exec Club up from my Blackberry. It is an English work phone so I tried calling the given UK number, but I kept receiving an automated local telecoms message saying that connection is not possible. When I try calling the designated number for persons outside the UK I get an automatic BA message telling me that the number I am accessing is for persons outside the UK and I should call the UK number (see above). I have now tried calling the "foreign" number from a landline and managed to get through but was holding for ages and have now given up and therefore have nothing to show for my efforts other than a large phone bill.
Am I missing a trick here or is it really this difficult to get through to BA when not using BA.com?
