thank you for all the well wishes and sincerely appreciate all the great information. Will look into this and do all I can to get a refund if not hopefully United can issue us some sort of travel voucher.

I am sure I could just pay the change fee to change the dates of travel except since I do not know what those are going to be, do I just call them and ask for a 1 year travel voucher or just not show up for the flight?

Sorry never done this before and last thing on my mind right now is tickets...
