Less work or onto new capacity so no need to hire a new job. Even so, that helps no Canadians, and not us.

So Air Canada's argument vs. Emirates is NO NET BENEFIT TO CANADIANS. But it's own actions when they do these things are NO NET BENEFIT TO CANADIANS.

I hereby dismiss NO NET BENEFIT TO CANADIANS as anything that should ever come out of an Air Canada rep's mouth. They can't reduce jobs, convert them to low paying poverty jobs, and then talk about what benefits Canadians. That same Canadian could go and get a job on Emirates because they speak French, and earn a better living than at Rouge.

NO NET BENEFIT TO CANADIANS blah
Because AC needs to compete with many airlines with higher Pax/FA ratios and doesn't want to overstaff its aircraft when it can meet legal evacuation requirements with less FAs, AC is not of net benefit to Canadians? That was the tipping point?

Why do you have to drag EK into every discussion... let the politicians work that out.
