Does 261 apply in transit through LHR out of Europe?
Just had a friend fly TLV/LHR/Canada on one ticket and had a missed connection, thereby losing a day. Does 261 apply (given the Canadian flight left from London), or does the fact that his ticket started/ended outside the EU exclude him from this form of compensation?
