If you show up late in the day (which happens if you are taking a morning flight from LAX) they have few (or no) cars, and can't get them into the gold spots fast enough to avoid putting busloads of gold members in line. With the current facility remodel going on they don't have separate gold/non-gold/walkup lines. I ran about 30% for no car ready when I got there last year, so I switched to AVIS, who have been better in my limited experience so far.
