Mine has proprietary ROM (4.2 tweaked by the handset maker), and the SIP option is missing. I've had the same issue with a previous Samsung galaxy Y model. Although SIP is an built into android since 2.1 or so, it seems makers/carriers disable that option .

So on the Moto G you are using csipsimple without any add-ons or tweaks?
