Was platinum until end of February. And for the time being I'm just gold, but not too far short of reaching Platinum.

I fly Aeromexico pretty often. I almost always book through Delta, and thus Aeromexico legs are listed as Delta codeshare with ticket numbers a 006XXX.

Before flight would see "Upgrade Requested" listed on my reservation. I never once was upgraded, even when there were empty seats in first class. Sometimes they allow early boarding. But I never got my selected pre-selected seat in economy plus. I am always re-ticketed to the back of the plane.

I was told by an Aeromexico agent that if I wanted to quality for Upgrades I would have to register with their Club Premier and accumulate miles with them instead of with Delta in order to qualify. At least I am allowed into their lounge, which is pretty nice. But that's all.

So if some of you have been upgraded on AeroMexico, please clue me in. What's the secret?????
