I disagree that CI would clearly be upset with DL flying SEA<>TPE.

Most "DL" pax on this route would be connecting (on CI) anyway. And the "local" pax are likely flying BR as of now.

Furthermore, BR is marginal on this route, so this might put enough pressure on them to reduce service.
