As I've posted elsewhere, I've had problems with cancelled award flights getting the miles back into my account many times. After seeing nothing after two weeks, I call res and ask to be put through to AAdvantage customer service. These are the folks who can fix it immediately and the miles should appear the following day. I have been told it can take up to a week, so once that benchmark is passed, I now call in. Oddly the money appears on my credit card statements within a few days, even though this is supposed to take one or even two billing cycles. This is my biggest frustration with AA.
