The comments on Seatguru are positive too (it says the seat dimensions are 31 by 17). I was on a normal density 777 the week before and it was more dense and less comfortable than this RJ. Maybe the good thing about the CRJ-100 is that the recline is limited and the person ahead wasn't getting into my space as badly as they can on the mainline. Anyway, I have a positive impression from these recent flights with Air Georgian.
Spent several years on the RJ, and funny how public perception has changed on this aircraft. When first introduced, the aircraft was considered game-changing. Its introduction coincided shortly after Canada and the US signed an open skies agreement, and this aircraft was considered a hub-buster, often replacing undesirable prop service. ATL was amongst the first of dozens of new routes served, along with MCI, CLE, DCA, BNA, MSP, STL, etc. as well as once served places like HPN, CHS, GSO and JAX. Would never compare it to the grandeur of the 747 or the L10, but some of my best years were spent on this aircraft.
