My condolences.
However, it proves the value of points for emergency/last-minute occasions

Was there no availability (using Avios) for YYZ-HKG on CX?

Also, Terminal 1 PP Int'l lounge is simply "average/okay" IMO
Terminal 3 PP, however, was much better while EVA was still in T3.
BR shared it with CX and served hot food until departure.
Much better decor also
