Flying AA/AS (booked code share) cnxn; can I standby for AA nonstop?
My wife and I are flying DFW-ANC next week. Because the r/t cost was a few hundred dollars less we are connecting in SEA and flying the 2nd leg on a code share flight operates by AS. Flights were purchased through and ticketed by AA, and all legs are under the AA flight code.
I know we can't do a confirmed standby at 24 hours because the 2nd leg isn't AA, AE, or AC operates; but can we standby at the airport for the nonstop? And if not, any thoughts on likelihood of being able to standby in SEA on AS for a shorter connection?
