Jet Airways management has recently informed flight attendants that they are expected to clean up airplane cabins after flights so that both on-time performance and cabin cleanliness during quick domestic turnarounds improves.
In-flight crews have been asked to collect used blankets, used pillows, and used newspapers. They are also expected to replace used headset covers and clear seat pockets.
The crews have responded to these new expectations by pointing out that there are dedicated cabin cleaning staff at all airports and all of the tasks mentions should be their responsibility.
