I have never redeemed AP flights for myself, and I've probably redeemed - maybe - a dozen flights in total for friends/family. So, ya, I had no idea what IKK was until today - because I have never had any need to make use of it.
I would actually state that most SEs who do not participate in this or other travel fora, would not know what the term IKK stands for. This term is not used on the AC or Aeroplan or Altitude web sites, when describing the increased access of SEs to Aeroplan award (esp business class) seats. I only know about it because it is used commonly on this (FT) forum.
