You should get the miles on the next statement ( July 4th), typically miles should post within 2 days to your AA account . cancel after that, you will be around day 34-35, i have not had this experience to cancel after the 2nd statement, but people got refunded their AF up to 37 days from the date of AF posted (June 4th). good luck.
