It's my first time getting miles with AA (currently challenging plat) so I'd like to know how close I am, by my calculations I'm at 9700 qualifying miles. Just booked a trip from YVR-LAX-SFO on AA so that should push me over quite easily. However until I can confirm how much I have I can't say for sure =/

Thanks!

To add to what others have said, 9,700 Elite-Qualifying miles is pretty meaningless - you need Elite Qualifying POINTS to qualify for Challenge-based status, and 9,700 miles could be anything from 4,850 to 14,550 points.

Time to use the online form to claim your miles at aa.com (be sure to have your ticket number).
