I'd say that, the official availability of one-way awards (at half the round trip rate) will be when the full 2015 SkyMiles program is announced / revealed / bomb dropped on us - - whenever . . . . . probably later this year, sometime.

Even then, they may announce them later this year, but may not be bookable til the start of the new Medallion program next year. Is that Feb 1?
