I have made some serious comments on this thread especially when I OPd it. Most of my other comments mock our community for inaction, denial, selfishness and helplessness. That is pretty naive. AC is a profit making business and while customer service is paramount in their operations it doesn't mean they should work to give you freebies that you feel you should have. The industry has gone from a buyers marker to a sellers one and they are going to make money while the sun shines. Airlines are a cyclical industry and they are in the high end of a cycle. They have to please their shareholders first and foremost while continuing to service their customers.
You also seem to forget that this site represents less than 1% of AC's growing customer list. You hear about people dropping AC as their airline yet their FF base is growing and their BIS numbers are growing quite fast these days. Most SE's who are the biggest spenders are generally not complaining about the service levels or the perks. You may have to adjust your thinking and pay up to get better services or be satisfied with what you get. Other airlines, for the most part, are doing the same thing as AC so there is not a lot of choice unless you use charter type Companies.
