You're right, I would probably only use it for small purchases, like something coming out to $9.95 or something like that. But if I got a restaurant bill for $54.80 I probably wouldn't bother.

This method does have one BIG plus though: imagine (no pun intended) a situation where you are aiming for the $50k spend in a membership year to collect the 20k miles bonus. What happens if you are a few thousand short with a week to go and don't have plans to spend the remaining amount?

By topping up a few Imagine cards you can generate the extra spend on the Privi card straight away and then do the ACTUAL spend later on using the Imagine cards.
