I'm planning to join a dining program, and trying to choose an airline to register it to. Is anyone aware of any current promotions for joining/first time use?
Here's what I could find online:
United nicely lists all the restaurants in the program so I could verify enrolling in this is actually going to be useful to me--but there's no special promo I could find.
American lists nothing on their site - just a phone number to enroll, and a promise (which I think has been there for a year or so) to update "locator maps" - BUT there is a promo of 500 bonus miles per month for dining at three different restaurants, through 2/2001.
So I guess the question is, are both programs run by the same organization - is the list of restaurants going to be the same for American? Then I would go for the promo. If you know any more or have any experience in the dining programs, please let me know. Thanks a lot.
