I've booked this property using MER so could only book a standard room. However, I was offered the e-Standby Upgrades to Deluxe, Corner and Balcony rooms. I would like a bigger room and preferably a Deluxe Balcony room. But I wonder what my best strategy is?

The hotel is fully booked for my dates so I am assuming zero chance of a Diamond upgrade. Would this also imply no standby upgrades would be forthcoming? Should I sign up for all categories of upgrade or only the Balcony room?

Anyone have experience with how e-Standby Upgrades clear here - or indeed anywhere else?
