He did obtain RA status though. IHG ought to set out limits on how many BRG they think it's reasonable on their T&Cs. Also it's difficult to tell if one's account is profitable or not.
IHG lets him pay for the hotels with real money but without perks. I seriously doubt that he/anyone will do it after what they have done to him.
